Armidale City Gymnastics Club
Below are the policies essential to keeping all participants safe and respected. Please ensure that you have read all of the documents prior to agreeing to the terms of registration.
This participant will be a registered member of Gymnastics Australia and Gymnastics NSW and will be bound by all rules, regulations, policies and procedures of those Associations. The GA Child Safe Policy can be found at: www.gymnastics.org.au
In accordance with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act (2000), the information contained within this form will be used primarily for matters specifically related to participating in gymnastics and/or if a secondary purpose is related to the primary purpose and one could reasonably expect such use or disclosure.
To assist in providing our services, the organisations to which we disclose information include:
~ Outsourced service providers who manage the services we provide to you, including:
* Gymnastics NSW
* Gymnastics Australia
~ Government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law.
We limit the use and disclosure of any personal information provided by us to such organisations for the specific purpose for which we supplied it.
If you choose not to provide personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the services you require, or the level of service on which we pride ourselves.
Notice and Waiver of Liability
You are advised that all activities held within this Facility can be dangerous and carry risk of harm including, without limitation, obvious risks and inherent risks. These activities include running, swinging, jumping, vaulting, rolling, flipping, trampolining and climbing.
By entering the Facility and being involved in any activity you accept these risks as a part of general participation.
YOU ARE PARTICIPATING AT YOUR OWN RISK AND/OR ACCEPTING THE RISK ON BEHALF OF YOUR CHILD OR THE CHILD FOR WHICH YOU ARE GUARDIAN.
By paying fees for participation in any activity of Armidale City Gymnastics Club Inc. you agree and state that you understand the risks and declare that:
• I understand that all the activities at Armidale City Gymnastics Club Inc. can be dangerous and there is a risk of injury, serious disability or death.
• The Participant is in good health and does not have any pre-existing conditions or injuries that could betriggered or exacerbated through participation in the activities.
• I accept that these activities are physically challenging and may cause abrasions, sprains, fractures, dislocations, spinal and other injuries.
• I have considered the associated risks and agree to participate voluntarily and at own risk. I accept the risks of injury, serious disability or death.
• I hereby release Armidale City Gymnastics Club Inc., its officers, employees, contractors, volunteers and any other person from any liability, demand, suit, claim or compensation due to any injury, serious disability or death or any damage to personal property that may occur whilst participating in activities at the Facility.
• I agree that this waiver and release applies to all activities now or in the future undertaken at the Facility and will also be binding on all heirs, administrators, executors and assigns.
• I am over the age of 18 and am legally competent to understand and agree to the contents of this document OR I am a parent or guardian and am legally competent to understand and agree to the contents of this document.
• I accept and agree to abide by and follow all the rules, policies, procedures and conditions of Armidale City Gymnastics Club Inc. All policies are accessible from the office at Armidale City Gymnastics Club Inc.
CCTV (Surveillance)
The Armidale City Gymnastics Club Inc has installed fixed CCTV surveillance cameras on each piece of equipment or activity area in the gymnasium.
The use of Surveillance Cameras in Armidale City Gymnastics Club is 4-fold. It will be used for:
➢ Risk assessment of training programs in the facility. Monitoring footage of accidents or injuries that may occur during Gymnastics classes. Footage may be used as a part of accident reporting procedures. They may also be used for training purposes for staff to better improve training systems to increase safety for gymnasts and themselves.
➢ The security of the facility in case of break and enter and other unlawful acts on or in the facility. Footage may be provided to police in an effort to assist enquiries.
➢ The protection of staff in the event of unwanted approaches, violent attacks or assault on staff or participants. Footage may be provided to the MPIO or police in an effort to assist enquiries.
➢ Monitoring of all activities in the gymnasium from a central point in the administration office.
The club has a very detailed policy on the use of CCTV footage and who, when, why and where footage is saved.
This can be viewed on request by approaching staff on duty in the office.
All footage saved is for use by the staff to better improve the safety and security of your children, our coaches and yourself. We are happy to answer any questions relating to the system and its use.
